WELCOME! YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!

What Causes Plantar Warts?

Hello, this is Doctor Betschart, your favorite podiatrist in Danbury. In a previous post, we talked about plantar warts and how to identify them. Today, I want to tell you about what causes them. As surprising as it may seem, plantar warts are the result of the human papilloma virus, also known as HPV. HPV commonly grows in wet and warm areas, such as bathrooms and locker rooms and is contracted through cuts, abrasions and breaks in the skin. If you think that you might have developed plantar warts, it is important to see a foot doctor right away. We have the most effective and convenient treatments available. I encourage you to see me soon at my office here in Danbury. Call for a consultation 844 375-7622
